Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Phone Number: Used solely for account verification via SMS one-time passwords (OTP).
- Username: Your chosen display name within the app.
- Screen Time Data: Information about your device usage patterns, stored locally on your device.
- App Preferences: Your settings and goals within Moment.
SMS/Text Message Disclosure
When you create an account or log in, we send one (1) SMS message containing a 6-digit verification code to confirm your phone number. This is the only text message we will ever send you.
We do not send: Marketing messages, promotional texts, notifications, reminders, or any other SMS communications.
Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to prevent future verification texts. Standard message and data rates may apply.
EU Users (GDPR): SMS verification is processed under Article 6(1)(b) as necessary for contract performance and Article 6(1)(f) for legitimate security interests.

How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:

Data Storage and Security
Your screen time data is stored locally on your device. Account information (phone number, username) is stored securely on our servers using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase for our backend infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Twilio: For sending SMS verification codes
- Supabase: For secure data storage and authentication
These services have their own privacy policies and are contractually bound to protect your data.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of SMS communications by replying STOP
- Export your data in a portable format
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Children's Privacy
Moment is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
